SECTION 3: Potential Requires Progress
Potential demands action; growth happens only when progress is made. Each step forward reveals new paths to what you can become.
Potential requires progress, and progress requires a plan of action.
Ideas must be documented if they are to influence the way you live. This means that you must be proactive, set your course, and envision your future as far as you can chart. Charting your future means being able to write about your future, and make the vision plainly visible. This can be done with words or with the powerful practice of imagery on a vision board.
As you think through your vision. Connect each idea and imagining to a SMARTER goal. Ask yourself, how will the goals you have set for yourself feed into your action plan for the next five months, twelve months, or two years?
Begin imagining what you want to be, what you want to accomplish, where you want to go, who you want to become, who you want to influence and who you have been called to influence.
By simply writing your vision down, and making it plain (this means both clear and visible), you will be amazed at how this practice will make you do ‘the work’ every day. It will encourage you to take action and open the door for the Creator’s power to manifest in your life. The mandate placed on our lives is clear; establish our plans with faith and perseverance and experience a divine orchestration of all the circumstances and events required for your vision to be fulfilled.
Embrace the divine directive from Habakkuk 2:2 which admonishes us to write the vision down and make it plain. We were created to change the world. It is up to you to be that change using the essence of your God-given power. Now, draw inward and activate that divine power with an action plan.
